Rhode Island Operations Lead

We are looking to develop and grow our business in the Northeast and are seeking a full-time Operations lead to build and grow our new Providence, Rhode Island office. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience in consulting engineering and excel at thinking and acting entrepreneurial while creating meaningful client relationships and developing talent at all levels of experience.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in the field
  • Possess professional licensure in the state of Rhode Island (or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within three months)
  • Experience in a management/leadership role or certification of training in these areas
  • Excellent reputation for building key client relationships, promoting outstanding client care, and delivering quality
  • Possess superior communication skills and with prior experience managing complex teams and projects, working collaboratively and effectively with teams in various locations
  • Demonstrated success in developing and leading highly talented, energetic, and collaborative teams and providing professional guidance to developing talent
  • Meaningful participation in key industry organizations

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the growth of our organization by expanding and deepening existing client relationships and by acting tactically to create new ones in various markets
  • Develop our organizational capacity by developing a program of focused staff development and talent acquisition
  • As a member of our Management Team, oversee the operation of the developing office in line with organizational strategy, promote and lead its integration into the overall corporate structure via process integration and regular reporting, and work with Senior Leaders to develop a picture of the future organization.
  • Interface with management teams to coordinate and deliver on business development, staff management, strategy, operational, and departmental goals and objectives
  • Track, monitor, and participate in discussions regarding branch office performance and development with Management Teams

The chosen candidate will be able to effectively communicate (written & oral), possess superior organizational skills, have proficient computer skills, and work effectively to meet scheduling requirements and quality control standards.  The candidate will be required to uphold Governmental and Corporate Quality Assurance Policies/Procedures.
