Contracts Administrator

CME is seeking a full-time Contracts Administrator to be part of our Contracts Team working in our East Hartford office. The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage all contract administration functions
  • Contract review, execution and administration
  • Request contract supplementals and amendments
  • Advise Project Managers of contractual rights and obligations
  • Identify and mitigate business and financial risk
  • May act as liaison between company and client/sub-contractors
  • Review bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determine if acceptable
  • Prepare project related financial reports including invoicing, and budget status
  • Prepare and track project correspondence
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Follow corporate policies, procedures, and initiatives


  • BS Degree in Business or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short turn-around times
  • Ability to handle multiple activities, contracts and customers simultaneously
  • Good mathematical, analytical, strategic, negotiating and reasoning skills
  • Ability to operate independently and within a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both internally with technical staff, peers and management as well as external customers and vendors
  • Strong word processing and spreadsheet computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail is a must
